Let’s first look at what’s happened so far this year!
Firstly, March 2022 witnessed our 7th year anniversary. Yes, really. 7 years delivering executive education excellence!
Our 7th anniversary year began with our largest ever selection of educational activities.
The EIMF team offered its most comprehensive collection of courses so far, with over 150 live online programmes and a blend of eLearning opportunities, making this the most extensive choice of learning opportunities in the market.
Following the turbulence of the last two years, we greeted the spring season with the same high standards in our offerings, as well as the zeal and passion to meet the evolving learning needs of our friends and associates. We are happy to see that this was well received!
Undoubtably, this has been possible because of YOU. Our friends and associates who, over the course of the years, have become “real friends”, continuing to entrust us with both their personal and organisational learning requirements.
We sincerely thank you for your trust and ongoing support!
Enhancement and Growth
We continue to listen and respond to your evolving needs, and this season was no exception. The EIMF team has enhanced and introduced new systems to ensure that the learning experience is awesome for all our learners.
To cater for both synchronous and asynchronous courses, our systems and platforms were further improved and new technology was adopted, offering all learners their own “personal” learning area to access their courses, materials, certificates, and more!
At the same time, the very latest learning approaches, methods, and techniques were sought and applied by our industry expert trainers to further enrich the learning and practical application of the topics being delivered.
So, what learning areas experienced growth this season?
Our strong concentration in the areas of financial and professional services continued to grow as the need for specialised knowhow and CPD training is larger than ever before in areas such as regulation, compliance, AML, banking, fund, legal, governance, and risk, among others. This growth was reflected in the development of new courses on topics within both existing and new areas.
Amongst others, new Fin Tech courses were added to meet the fast-growing need for specialised knowledge in this important area, as well as specific compliance courses for the betting and gaming industries.
With worldwide research clearly indicating the importance of certain critical learning subjects such as leadership, management and “every-day” skills, the EIMF team offered an array of both popular and new topics within these vital areas. We are delighted to comment on the tremendous success of our courses on Directors Development, Leadership and Management Development, Effective Communication, Critical Thinking, Coaching Skills, Essential Skills for Managers, Interviewing Skills, Project Management and Negotiations Skills, to mention but a few.
Other areas that enjoyed growth this season and warrant their own mention include learning opportunities for accounting and legal professionals. Accounting Wise expanded its topics, offering many new initiatives for accounting professionals, including both live online and eLearning courses, as well global Professional Accounting qualifications. At the same time, Legal professionals benefited from an expansion in highly specialised legal topics, which were also expanded and very well received this season.
Further Developments
Training in Information Technology also saw a leap this season, with large private and governmental projects being undertaken by our New Horizons team, offering everything from fundamental Microsoft topics to the most advanced computer programming language courses.
Lastly, the team at the London Governance & Compliance Academy (LGCA) also had a vastly successful first half of 2022, bringing growth through new agreements and expanding its reach to Africa, South America, and beyond. New collaborations and partnerships will further assist LGCA in its efforts to bring governance, risk, and compliance training to every corner of the globe.
Well worth remembering! For your UK offices, this is an ideal choice since many of the LGCA courses focus specifically on the FCA regulatory framework.
Enhancement and growth were witnessed in many other areas of our business too!
Partnerships and cooperations continue to be very important to us, and this season saw a further strengthening of our bond with the Charted Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI). We are very proud and honoured to now be the exclusive provider of CISI learning opportunities in Cyprus. The CISI community continues to grow and we’re sure more of you will take advantage of the members offerings and join the local community.
Furthermore, new subject-matter experts, both locally and from abroad, joined the EIMF family to offer specialised expertise and diverse perspectives to develop the knowledge of local and European professionals.
Customised in-house learning continued to grow as organisations took advantage of our expertise in both education and industry specific areas to design learning initiatives specifically for the needs of their people and organisations.
As a global accredited and licensed education group, we have also continued to further expand our geographical footprints.
After Cyprus, our biggest presence can be seen in London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Belgrade, Copenhagen, Tel Aviv, Athens, Sofia, Dublin, and Bucharest, where knowledge, practical application, and professional qualifications are welcomed.
Our physical presence abroad has also grown this season as EIMF Ireland opened its doors with its new offices in Dublin. As in the UK through LGCA, our expertise has been extended, and EIMF Ireland will focus specifically on the needs of the Irish financial services market, with many learning initiatives currently underway.
New Horizons also saw the introduction of a new location and office, as New Horizons Greece took off this season to offer their vast Information Technology training initiatives to the local market.
Opportunities and Guidance
In celebration of our 7th year anniversary, special opportunities were offered for professionals looking for great discounts and a chance to enhance their learning or professional qualifications. We hope you were able to take advantage of these!
Many thought-provoking articles from industry experts were published and promoted, as well as Free Webinars focusing on some hot topics, as a way to introduce attendees to new subjects and explore best practices both locally and overseas.
World events were also addressed by our team, helping you navigate through some unprecedented decisions that might have impacted your organisation this season. Many of you came to us with questions such as “What exactly are these new sanctions?” and “How do they impact our banks and services sector in Cyprus?” We hope our specific initiatives covered these questions and helped your organisation better prepare for these instances.
A Glimpse of the Season Ahead
For the season ahead, stay tuned for more announcements. Further growth is expected, as discussions and meetings are well underway for new partnerships and potential expansion into new areas in the MENA region, as well as the rest of Europe.
Finally a return to classroom training?
Fingers crossed that the autumn season will see a return to classroom training.
On the one hand, we celebrate the great success of live online learning, which has changed both education and the business world forever. Online learning and virtual business meetings now form part of our “normal” working environment, bringing people together and enhancing opportunities for learning, growth, and collaboration.
On the other hand, we crave a return to in-person live interaction and the opportunity to both learn and discuss whilst allowing communication to flourish over a coffee and business lunch!
So, what is the way forward?
Nobody can know for sure what the future holds, but we are offering our friends and associates a beautiful “bouquet” this coming autumn.
That is, a great selection of classroom, live online and eLearning opportunities. We have taken the time to speak to many of you and hope that there will be something for everyone, meeting both personal and organisational needs.
Programmes for the autumn extend beyond 140 classroom/live online opportunities, as well as an array of self-paced e-learning courses. Learning areas and topics will once again spread across all areas with a repeat of many of the popular courses, whilst at the same time new programmes and subject matter experts will be introduced. Lastly, for your UK offices and colleagues our LGCA team has ramped up its live online activities, releasing a packed schedule of courses for this autumn, on many of your favourite and most crucial GRC topics, whilst continuing with their in-house and eLearning courses.
