The European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF), the leading provider of professional development training courses in the region, is delighted to announce that its EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Foundation classroom training courses are now accredited by the EXIN Certification board.
EXIN, founded in 1984, is the largest provider of internationally recognised ICT certification programmes established in more than 165 countries and having certified more than 2 million professionals. The EIMF is very proud to have partnered up with this organisation, especially on time for the implementation of the GDPR.
EIMF had already been established as one of the GDPR specialists in the region, having delivered numerous Courses and Workshops before this accreditation. However, as certified and accredited qualifications are becoming an essential requirement for individuals pursuing a career in data protection, the EIMF has gone through the rigorous and demanding process of auditing and accrediting the Institute as an EXIN Training Partner, our GDPR Specialist and Trainer Dr Nick Skrekas as an EXIN approved Trainer and Practitioner, and also our GDPR content to align with their internationally recognized standards for Course Accreditation.
Marios Siathas, the General Manager of EIMF, said: “We are delighted to work with EXIN and be uniquely positioned to provide courses with the EXIN global accreditation. Our practical approach, delivered by EIMF expert trainers, ensure participants achieve the skills required and are awarded an industry-standard global certification in Privacy, Data Protection and the GDPR”
As for the EIMF Courses, these will assist all businesses to prepare for the GDPR and examine what is required of them as well as understand the potential impacts of GDPR on their organisations. It is imperative to have a plan in place to address the issues as the clock is ticking to its application date.
Furthermore, by participating in these EIMF Courses, delegates will not only obtain the necessary knowledge to prepare for the implementation of GDPR, but also prepare for the relevant examination by EXIN to obtain the internationally recognised Privacy and Data Protection Foundation Certificate. Employing an EXIN Certified Data Protection Officer ensures the high standards of knowledge and competence required for such an important role.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will replace the current Directive and will be directly applicable in all Member States without the need for implementing national legislation. It contains some onerous obligations, many of which will take time to prepare for, it will have an immediate impact.
