The festive season is once again upon us! As we frantically finish off what needs to be done for 2017 we also start to plan for another eventful year ahead.
The eagerly awaited calendar for the first half of 2018 is out – super early to help with your forward planning.
At EIMF we are particularly excited about 2018 as we anticipate our big move! Our expansion and continued growth has dictated a move to new, larger, modernized facilities and we are all thrilled about this! We will keep you posted – watch this space for our opening event!
But, before saying goodbye to 2017 we would like to firstly express our sincere thanks for the trust and support you have all shown us, including organisations for entrusting the development of their teams to us. With so much coming into effect in 2018, we were delighted to have been entrusted with the important task of providing you with all the required information to arm yourselves with the knowledge required to introduce these new regulatory regimes – MiFID II, 4th AML Directive, MAR, GDPR.
We also thank you for acknowledging our broad expertise and for allowing us to offer our advice and share our immense knowhow with you; from Board and Director levels down to the front-line professionals, we continually enhance knowledge and skills across the training spectrum, such as Compliance, AML, Leadership, Strategy, Management, Productivity Enhancement, Marketing, Risk, Funds, Accounting, Business Tax, as well as offering opportunities for professional qualifications.
We have worked vigorously to provide you with the latest changes, best practices, knowledge and skills that your professions’ demand, always endeavouring to ensure that our events and programmes contain in-depth content and are delivered by professionals who are highly knowledgeable and have practical experience and expertise to share with you.
This year we have provided a record number of courses covering over 300 training days and have trained well over 3,000 professionals. We have welcomed back many of our international experts, to share their wealth of knowledge bringing with them the latest best practices, and we are pleased to see that many of you have got to know them well and adopted some of the expertise! At the same time our local professionals have in turn shared their very specialised know-how and of course the vital ins-and-outs of the local playing field. We must not of course forget that their expertise has also been shared overseas, as our training abroad has once again included numerous courses and initiatives across a number of countries including Israel, Greece and the UK.
Both small and large organisations have placed the development of their teams in our hands and we have successfully implemented numerous training project across the business sectors, such as, Banking, Legal, Accounting, Funds, Investment Firms, Shipping, Insurance, Telecommunications as well as for local bodies and associations, such as CySEC, Central Bank, ACIF and the Association of Cyprus Banks.
Conferences and other events with leading local firms, associations and international partners, including CIBA, CISI, ACAMS, AAT, CIFA have also dominated much of the year, all aiming to keep the local business community updated with the latest know how and industry trends – supporting the local business world remains one of our priorities!
Furthermore, with eLearning now playing a very important role in training and development, 2017 saw EIMF expand its topics as we continue to provide high quality eLearning courses at an international level – this will of course continue to grow!
2017 also witness a growth in our partnerships with both local and overseas associations, examination providers and bodies. New partnerships for 2017 included the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) which now offers professionals within the insurance sector the chance to attain relevant qualifications, and EXIN offering internationally recognized qualifications in Data Protection – now a must!
Our efforts to offer new topics and bring to you significant and globally recognized associations will continue into 2018 with our latest partnership PECB (Professional Evaluation and Certification Board) offering ISO training, such as Anti Bribery Management, Risk Management, Compliance Management certifications, and the establishment of the Project Management Centre (PMaC), offering numerous new opportunities including the PMI (Project Management Institute) qualifications.
Overseas associations and accredited courses offer great opportunities to professionals to expand their knowhow at an international level, and attain skills and qualifications that can easily be transferred and thus vital to their personal growth, as well as the success of their organisations.
With so much going on this year what will 2018 have in store!
Well, through our ongoing communication with you, your feedback and input we have once again been able to put together a mix of programmes, courses and workshops to cater for todays professionals. Once again, thank you for your input which is always very important to us.
For the new year, demand dictates a repeat of many of our most popular courses starting in the early part of the year covering areas such as AML, compliance, Leadership, GDPR, Risk, Funds as well as certification courses, whether these be for the CySEC examinations, CISI qualifications, ACAMS, Accounting or other bodies, and, of course, there will be some new and exciting topics too!
These will include courses leading to the Chartered Institute of Insurance (CII) Awards and other topics – to mention a few – IFRS 9, Regulatory Compliance for Consultants and Lawyers, Asset Securitisation, Prospectus Law and Public Takeovers, EU Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive, Cross Border Mergers, Business Ethics and so much more!
